Anthony Bourdain gets the knives out
Fillets Emeril, Rachael Ray and the rest of the Food Network hosts. But not Mario.
Do not read while drinking. Real danger of spraying screen and keyboard. I don’t cook at all, but Bourdain is my favorite kitchen bitch.

The man is my idol! I’d still like to see him film an episode of No Reservations in The Philippines. I’d like to see him sample Isaw, Pinapaitan, or even Sisig. I don’t think he’ll ever be a fan of Balut though. He tried a Vietnamese version of it and found it a little too over-the-top when he visited the place. BTW, he’s a big fan of Lechon, whether it’s Puerto Rican-style, Chinese-style, or Balinese.
A Cook’s Tour and Kitchen Confidential are very entertaining reads too. I may have to pick up The Nasty Bits sometime as well.

BTW, I love picking up lunch at one of Bourdain’s favorite spots when he’s in town: Salumi. Their sandwiches are phenomenal! Even Tony wishes that he was adopted into the Batali family (yes, *that* Batali family). It’s a big plus that my workplace is a couple of crosswalks away from this mecca of sandwiches.
JZ, when you get a chance to come to Seattle, try out their place. I personally recommend the Prosciutto with Gorgonzola cheese is something to be experienced. If you’re really going decadent, you’ll have to try out the lamb version of their Prosciutto.
