The thought of this actually happening - product placement in government proceedings - seems so ridiculous and insane that I suppose it HAS to be true now doesn't it?

Still, not quite as funny as watching all those Texas legislators racing to vote for fellow members of the house who are absent from the proceedings...

Didn't get to watch the Senate hearings this week, but I used to work for one of the senators and I remember it bring a big deal which brand actually gets served during televised sessions. An ex-deal, for sure.

I noticed that... and it's ABSOLUTE DRINKING WATER. Senate prolly hates mild endorsements. But if you're in the middle of something important, would you even care about that?

Well, it could be that it was subtlely suggested to them. OR (I got a theory) Someone raised the idea that the bottled water would be seen on TV (again) and it didn't pay a single cent to the senate pantry or somethin'. The other senators overheard it, they got the idea and did something about it. Knowing the Senate --- THEY ALWAYS WANTED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT ANYTHING.

Attention: San Miguel Corp., Marketing Dept, distributors of Absolute Drinking Water....Call the Senate's procurement and make a deal. Cmon, this is huge advertising for you guys. On the second thought, no need...we already knew what bottled water is served at the senate.
