Weng-weng was the film star midget who jumped from a building by using an umbrella as a parachute, right? I vaguely remember his numerous films which were re-run I think every afternoon on Ch. 13 during the mid-80's. That was hilarious for us young boys then, but cool today for all its sentimental value. What I clearly remember was the sound effects of punches and kicks that went "Toka-bigzzz!!" and the fantastic background music. I also remember the other 80's classics starring Chiquito as Mang Kepweng, featuring zombies- Pinoy style. In one scene, a funeral lasted till the night because the relatives of the dead thought the departed wanted "Cha-cha" for his funeral. Turns out he wanted "marcha". Chiquito's "aswang" series also scared the wits out me, and on hot summer nights I actually feared that there was a half-human creature on our G.I. roof with the long proboscis-tongue!
