The Boys from Brazil, for real?
“For years scientists have failed to discover why as many as one in five pregnancies in a small Brazilian town have resulted in twins – most of them blond haired and blue eyed. But residents of Candido Godoi now claim that (the Nazi doctor, “Angel of Death” Josef) Mengele made repeated visits there in the early 1960s, posing at first as a vet but then offering medical treatment to the women of the town.”
An Argentine historian claims that Josef Mengele is responsible for the astonishing number of twins in a small Brazilian town.

So, if it’s true, is this supposed to be a crime, or a somewhat successful genetic experiment? Mengele wasn’t around to teach the kids on how to be a Nazi (or Hitler, like in the book), so they can be as South American as their birth parents. But even if the South Americans have their consent, would it be a crime because he had no license to practice, and had the people under false pretenses, and was a monster? Or for the sole purpose of scientific study, should scientists find these irregardless and proceed with further research to back his experiments? I’m confused.
Makes you think of the truth behind all those other crazy Nazi myths (Grail lore, child sacrifices, more genetic alterations, etc.). I wanted to ask this for a long time – why is Hitler so obsessed in being, or making, the perfect Aryan if he doesn’t even look like one?
