Imagine Metro Manila with light traffic
Oh right, it actually existed. In the 60s. Photos from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Digital Collections. Ay, progress.

When they reclaimed that part of Manila Bay, where did they get the land from?

Manila Bay was blue, not fecal brown.

Maybe this is how city traffic will be like on the day Manny Pacquiao finally fights Floyd Mayweather.

Sigh, what happened?
I now work in Ayala, and getting to work takes an hour, can’t get out of CBO at six in the evening without the usual body slamming in the MRT (haven’t tried taking the bus.) so have to wait til it’s around eight.
Ganito pala sa Makati.

Proof that Manila was a beautiful place. Here was a place you could actually bike in, take long walks with your loved ones, snap photos, and swim in the water without fear of instant death from industrial waste. Also an excellent proof that old cars were more elegant than today’s latest models, and that jeepneys,fx’s,and buses have ruined this country (see how nice things are without those poisonous smog emitters running around).
