Rugby video of the week: Oof.
Did you know that the Philippine rugby team won the silver medal at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games? Yes, we have a national rugby team, and if all goes well they’re going to compete in the Hong Kong Sevens next year. And the Olympics in 2016. The Philippine Rugby Football Union site is here.
Meanwhile we should probably get more Filipinos interested in the sport, so every week we’re going to post a rugby video. Here’s one selected by Jaime, featuring very large guys and bone-crunching agony. Enjoy.

A few years ago I saw the All Blacks at Bangkok’s International Airport while waiting for their connecting flight back to NZ. They looked like action figures. They were soooo beautiful!

yes, oo. bagay tayo sa rugby. mabilis tumakbo, magaling mangdamba. :) or pwede rin soccer. We just have to liberate a lot of space para sa games na ito. Back where I was raised in the hinterlands of Mindanao, may soccer teams ang mga school, both private and public.

My boss liked rugby and so when I had to go to New Zealand, he asked me to get an All Blacks shirt. He also encouraged me to watch Invictus and after watching it, I became a fan of the New Zealand team. I’m glad we have a rugby team here. :)
