Robin Soderling (5) has defeated Roger Federer (1) in the quarters at Roland Garros. It’s the first time in six years that the semifinals of a grand slam will not have Roger in it. Last year Soderling defeated Rafael Nadal and made it to the final before losing to Federer. Will it be a Soderling-Nadal final this year? Support Soderling (We sort of owe him one).
If this upset had happened one, two years ago I would’ve been despondent; today I accept the news with equanimity, knowing that Roger is in the bonus rounds of his spectacular career. And the hair is perfect.

Jessica, you jinxed the Fedal final! Seriously though, Soderking played like a man possessed, and outhit Roger in the last three sets. Good stuff.
