Covering the Clintons
Exactly one year ago I was covering the visit of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Secretary Clinton at the American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio.
Nick (the cute one looking the other way) a member of Sec. Clinton’s staff.
Today I’m attending former US President Bill Clinton’s talk at the Manila Hotel.
I’ve read Christopher Hitchens’s book on the Clintons (He hates them vehemently), and I’m a fan of the Hitch, but I can’t help liking the Clintons.

They’re a weird family, the Clintons. I’ve always wondered: are they really happy or it’s all just a show? Either way, they’re doing a great work at it.
Enjoy covering the event, Jessica! Can’t wait to see pictures of how these kinds of talks go.

She was here last week. Prime Minister John Key was so taken/starstruck by her, he called her “President Clinton.” Then his ears blushed crimson. Hillary’s gone hobknobbing all over the Tasman.
The US is threatened by increasing Chinoise influence.
What did she say during that talk in Manila Hotel?
