Show me the monster
There’s a lovely piece on Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Cronos) and his horror iconography in the New Yorker. Read it here.

Pan’s Labyrinth is one of my favorite films and the clip on the video where she was getting something from the monster with eyes on the hands was my favorite part. I even loved her lullabye! I wish Hellboy was done in spanish to make it more better but yeah..that would still suck.

Please feature de Maupassant soon!
I’ve always been a horror junkie, but I’ve never read Lovecraft. Maybe I should try a collection of his greater works; I’m sure it will be a gnarly improvement to my bookshelf. Any suggestions, you darling nerds?

Awesome! I’ve been on the prowl for the most comprehensive collection of his works. And I can’t add the 365 blog to my roll yet. When is it going public, Madame?
