Random Awesome
The world is especially awesome because the All Blacks defeated the Wallabies 20-6 in a ferocious semifinal at the Rugby World Cup. How vicious was it? We’ve never seen so much blood in a match. For sheer drama you can’t beat the sight of Cory Jane and company with blood streaming down their faces. It was literally a matter of life and death.
New Zealand meets France on Sunday (1600 Manila time), while Australia battles Wales for third place on Friday (1530 Manila time). It’s a repeat of the inaugural 1987 Rugby World Cup, which the host New Zealand won.
Regatta and the Discovery Channel have teamed up to produce “The World Is Just Awesome” shirts. Six designs in 2-3 colors, all proclaiming your appreciation for our planet. Yeah they look better on Jon, we have no complaints.

roseriver: The French pride themselves on their intellect. They will understand.

Jessica — My thoughts exactly!
Sa sobrang pagod, nakatulog agad siya sa taas ( Teka, yung ulo ko ata ang nabagok hahaha!!! Nabaliw!!!)…himbing nang tulog, oh. LOL!!!

jessica: my husband is a die-hard Blues fan (the type that wears the french team jersey even when just watching the game on TV, and convinces me to wear one too), but i think he knows The All Blacks are undefeatable. :)
ved: they are very rude in Paris. do try to arm yourself with some useful french words before heading to there. here’s a helpful video: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1574276/eddie_izzards_survival_guide_to_french_conversing_in_french/

My friends and I prayed hard for the All Blacks win. Mahal namin ang ABs (it’s hard not too), pero a win would also mean yun ang pag-uusapan ng mga tao and not the Rena environmental disaster in Tauranga, apparently involving a Filipino ship captain.

But they’re going to laugh at your accent anyway. You could out-rude them by cupping your hands over your mouth like a megaphone and speaking English very slowly in a loud voice (“Do. you. have. this. in. red?”).

hobbes: You’re right. Here’s the All Blacks prayer.
Our players, who art in black
Hallowed be thy game
When full-time has come, thy will be done
In 2011 as it was in ’87
Give us each day our daily victory
And forgive us our previous shortcomings
As we forgive those who ref’d in ’07
And lead us not to knock-out round failure
But deliver us from World Cup drought
In the name of McCaw, Henry and
the Holy Webb Ellis
Amen.

Ooohh, clever! Everyone at work was sleepworking this morning. My goal is to stalk the ABs and take photos before the big day, hehe…We used to see Ali Williams in a discount shop (nakakatuwa, squala lumpur din pala sila ng partner nya) in the neighborhood, kaya lang dyahe magpapicture eh, hehe…Cannot wait for the finals, Black all the way!!

brewhuh23: Nagseselos ka ba kay Quade Cooper? Dahil kahit saan siya tumingin, nandoon si Richie McCaw.
October 18th, 2011 at 01:45
Jessica — Jealous of Quade? Of course not! I’m very very secure LOL!!! But with my sanity, I don’t know hahaha!
