The movies are back! Tintin opens today
The Twilight: Breaking Dawn blockade is over, hooray!!! We can watch movies again! Movies without emotional vampires or frustrated werewolves!
Never in the history of cinema have we been so glad to see a Sarah Geronimo-Gerald Anderson movie open in our neighborhood multiplex. We are that relieved.
This is the movie we urge you to see:
The Adventures of Tintin! Steven Spielberg’s motion capture 3D movie adaptation of the beloved Hergé graphic novels, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’s Treasure.
We read a terrible review so we expected the characters to look like moving cadavers, but billions of blistering bilious blue barnacles, that was bollocks. It’s Indiana Jones, Boy Reporter.

I too have read two or three unfavorable reviews, but I checked IMDB and its average rating was a very high 7.8, and on rottentomatoes it was also a very high 86%, so this should be worth watching after all.

My friend and I enjoyed the movie last Satruday at the Newport Mall. I’ve never been so delighted with a chase scene in my life! Napa-tumbling kami, sabi namin, “Buhay ka pa ha?!” On a side, irrelevant note: waiting for the movie, we decided to kill time at the RW Casino. The guards blocked me, asking for my age. In situations like these, one is taken aback and forgets even his name. I didn’t expect to be asked since I already have a membership card–sa sobrang sorpresa ko, muntik ko nang matanong yung kaibigan ko, “Ilang taon na nga ba ako?” which would make me look more dodgy haha. They asked for my ID and I showed them the card. My friend and I were laughing our way to the slot machines.
