Can we do this here?
A bit Tulfoesque, but it could work. Remember when traffic cops with megaphones insulted people who were jaywalking? Was that effective?
Pavement driver ordered to wear ‘idiot’ sign in Cleveland
BBC News, 8 Nov 2012
A judge in Ohio has come up with an unusual punishment for a dangerous driver.
Shena Hardin will have to hold up a sign saying “only an idiot would drive on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus” after she did just that.
Witnesses say she used to routinely drive on the pavement to avoid waiting for the school bus as it stopped to pick up and drop off children in Cleveland.
The incident was filmed by someone on the bus using a mobile phone.
Hardin will also lose her licence for 30 days and pay a $250 fine.

It would be more effective if while wearing the sign, she’s trailed by one of our HAH!-AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! jeepneys :D

“Remember when traffic cops with megaphones insulted people who were jaywalking? Was that effective?”
i think this would work. we need to be embarrassed into remembering that things like spitting in the street, littering, talking too loudly and jaywalking are not only wrong, but also irritating. akala natin ok lang kasi no one reacts overtly when we do it.
if people get called out–embarrassed and insulted, if need be–often enough, then they’ll eventually stop doing it. think pavlov’s dog. hihi.

It’s unconstitutional, unfortunately. “Excessive fines shall not be imposed, nor cruel, degrading or inhuman punishment inflicted.”*

shame and humiliation to deter unlawful activities?
this sign I saw under the Magallanes U turn seemed to reflect this:
“BAWAL UMIHI DITO MAY CCTV SAWANG SAWA NA KAMI!”
or maybe this emphatic sign I saw written on a small wood placed outside a japanese resto across makati square will help?
“Bawal mag park dito grrrrrrrrrrrrr”

I think it will work, and I don’t think it’s necessarily cruel, degrading, or inhuman. Yes, somewhat subjective, but you do the crime, you do the time – and wearing a “Tanga” sign may be embarrassing, but I wouldn’t equate that to degrading at the level of, say, having someone eat pig slop.

Naku, some Pinoy motorists are shameless, they would proudly wear that “tanga” sign like a badge. How about making them wear tanga, the Carmi Martin / Alma Moreno (LoveliNess) kind?

If I remember correctly, SG authorities used to do the shame tactic similar to this for those who litter. Not sure if it’s still observed.
