Conundrum
In Sally Potter’s film adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, Tilda Swinton played the character as female and male. Because she’s Tilda. She should star in the David Bowie biopic.
If you were a person of the opposite sex, what would you be like? How would you dress and behave, what kind of job and relationships would you have? How would your life be different?
We think that if we were a boy, girls would be hurling themselves at us.

Considering 50% of the time I am called ma’am, my life would probably be mostly the same.

No kids, more tattoos, and a whole lot of spit. Which is what I am as a homosexual male, anyway. No difference. Except, maybe, I will be wrapped in more ink, two sleeves and a chest piece, the whole nine yards, so that I can either scare or wow the shit out of most of them punks.
I’ll try to secure a position as a day care teacher and see how that pans out with the little boys and girls. Haha, I can just imagine the look on those faces. But if the day caring doesn’t work out, then I’ll do night caring instead.
I’ll be far more fearless, because I know I can get away with a lot more things as a heavily tattooed, long legged girl.
Muahness from Pasig Cirehhh!
Oh, this Bloody Chamber book is weird. Not as weird as soap made from human fat. That is extracted from corpses. Holocaust corpses. But it will answer.

I’d have more self-confidence (fat boys are not teased/bullied like fat girls), hence better communication and social skills, so I’d be making it as a filmmaker or a journalist.

I’ll be the ligaw-tingin torpedo, pero made-develop na lang ang girls saken hahhahaha!
Tilda will be amazing as Bowie! Just like Cate Blanchett was phenomenal as Bob Dylan in I’m Not There. (They should do a movie together, as twins or a fantastical version of the other.)

i would be called Fabiola.
I would be articulate, refined, tastefully outfitted most of the time, occasionally skanky.
i would be a party hostess, like tessa prieto on steroids. that’s a job.
i would love anyone who remembers to top up my champagne flute throughout the night. i would love him even more if he’d happily offer me a foot massage after i’ve been wearing heels for 6 hours straight.
