My lady, many happy returns on your 13th name day. If it please you, someday I would like to be a writer of words, not code. (I was thinking of getting M.A. in Creative Writing on top of my B.S. ECE – if that’s possible at all, or going to workshops, or anything that can improve my mediocre writing, strengthen my credentials, and get me published.) lestat: The druid of our human says the real purpose of relationships is for you to learn something about yourself. Perhaps you will learn something in Phnom Penh. We would ask our Cambodian friends about that city, but they have all moved to other countries. We gather you would find fewer career options there than in Manila.
We are all for pursuing romance, but in our observation it is fleeting. Must this transfer be permanent? Will a longish vacation not suffice?

Thank you so much! He’s confined at the vet’s, he has a bacterial infection and gastrointestinal problems so he’s having an iv and antibiotics. He’s 7 months old in human years so he’s not as strong as our older dogs but the vet’s hopeful that he will recover.

japz20: There are all sorts of romantic notions attached to writing (and other creative fields) that get in the way of actual work. Creative writing courses are useful but only if you find the right maester—one who will correctly gauge your strengths and train you to hone them. But there are too many maesters who only wish to turn you into copies of themselves.
Writing is the most solitary occupation. Can you stand to be alone? Do you like yourself well enough to be alone?
If your answer is yes, then you must train yourself to write 500 words a day. (It should be 1,000 but we factored in your day job.) Every day, without fail, on subjects of your own choosing.
It is like training for tennis or the military. You must reach a state where, if you do not meet your daily requirement, you feel ill and cannot sleep.
When you have managed to write 500 words every day for one week, and the writing is of quality you can show other people without hiding from shame, contact me at saffron.safin@gmail.com. But not before.

Simply ask friends, relatives and acquaintances if they know of any part-time jobs you can get. You’d be surprised.

Ang ibig sabihin ko ay: kailan ba ako titigil magpagamit (sa mga katrabaho, sa mga ka-hookup atbp) at kailan ako magrereyna – yung tipong manginginig ang tumbong nila (katrabaho, kahook-up) kapag may ipinahiwatig akong kahilingan, etc. Samakatuwid kailan at pano ako magiging makapangyarihan?!? Ayokong tularan ang mga kupal na kakilala ko na dinadaan sa pagiging palautos, walang pakundangan sa damdamin at kapakanan ng iba etc.

based on romantic interest’s experience, ‘ldrs’ have very slim chances of survival. so the transfer will be in the service of romance maintenance. i value romance in life but this transfer would entail leaving this awful but comforting city life.
