Savor Instant Mommy at Cinemalaya
Artist/UP Fine Arts professor/production designer/our friend and in-house critic Leo Abaya is making his feature film debut at Cinemalaya 2013. Leo is the writer and director of Instant Mommy starring Eugene Domingo, Yuki Matsuzaki and Luis Alandy.
We’ve seen the work-in-progress (in our secret identity as The Subtitlist)—it’s delightful! Deceptively light and diverting, Instant Mommy has much to say about perception, reality, the lies we tell others and the lies we tell ourselves. Watch it.

“In our secret identity as The Subtitlist”
Right up there with The Ridiculist, The Pianist, and The Immoralist. Incidentally, Solar News Channel, why have you stopped airing Anderson Cooper Live? Whyyyyyyy?

I am so looking forward to this. Uge is one of the best we have in the industry, and I love when she does indie. “Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank” is one of my faves.
I’m also looking forward to Cinemalaya’d “Ekstra” with Ate Vi.
And while I’m not a Gretchen Barretto fan, I also am interested in “Diplomat Hotel.” Aside from a friend being the producer, I love these horror/thriller types, and often indie does this best (ex. Cinema One’s “Yanggaw” and “Altar”).

Wow, with Ms Eugene its a must watch. Good thing they started showing these movies in ayala cinemas. With traffic being this bad the cab ride from makati to CCP makes watching near impossible! Thanks !
