The original Ghostbusters is one of the few theatrical gems I will ever cherish and by heavens, that one (and the whole series) should be left alone. Sweet dreams, Harold!

Actually, I just read that Ghostbusters 3 is still a go. They’re planning to tweak the script a bit (and even, apparently it’s minimal since Egon’s role was also small from what I’ve read), so they’re saying it will still push through. Plus, they might convince Bill Murray to come on board again in honour of Harold (Bill was said to have said no before).
Still sad, though – no more Egon either way. He was my favorite. Always loved his interactions with on/off girlfriend Janine.
