Speaking as someone who plays music, I could say that there’s a side of competitiveness in practicing the craft–some have it laying dormant, some go full Yngwie Malmsteen.
JK Simmons’s role looks to be a tweaked version of his sociopath skinhead Schillinger from the HBO show Oz. It was done to perfection. I surely enjoyed seeing this film last weekend.
Post script: JK Simmons will be this weekend’s celebrity feature on Saturday Night Live.
