Bowie, first and last
From his first album in 1969: Space Oddity.
From his final album in 2016: Lazarus.
He knew, because David Bowie always knew.

And last time you just mentioned the joys of Spotify, allowing you to listen to recent music from your favorite artists like David Bowie.
Funny and sad that some people on social media are inclined to believe that the news is a hoax. After all he just sang Lazarus. Because he had always known.

I was just thinking of quoting (another gone-too-soon musician) Scott Weiland’s Loving the Alien lyrics as my Skype status tribute to David Bowie when I discovered that Bowie already had a song with that title. Of course.
RIP, David Bowie, probably the most common influence and inspiration of many of my favorite writers, musicians, and artists.

Conan O’Brien dedicated yesterday’s show as a tribute to Bowie, which included reflections and memories of the man. He closed the show by playing a clip of his performance of Dead Man Walking on acoustic guitar with Reeves Gabrel.
I sobbed a bit hearing him perform with Arcade Fire as they did Wake Up for one of the music video channels.
He was a spark that got a lot of candles burning. I don’t think we’ll see anyone like him again.

RIP, David Bowie. Thank you for giving me many reasons to believe that pop music is not synonymous to brainless jingles.
