Alan Rickman in Truly, Madly, Deeply
In Anthony Minghella’s Truly, Madly, Deeply, Alan Rickman plays a dead cellist who reappears in his girlfriend Juliet Stevenson’s apartment, summoned back by her boundless grief. This was the second movie we saw him in; the first, of course, was Die Hard. Alan Rickman, you are welcome to haunt our houses any time. Thank you.

Another huge loss; it’s been a tiring and sad sad week.
One of the reliable, consistently good actors. He was the best part in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and that was just the voice alone.
I feel oddly relieved that he knew of Tom’s and Benedict’s impersonations of him. Like a master noticing naughty but promising pupils.

Between losing Lemmy, Bowie, and now Rickman, it sucks to be an Anglophile right now.
He’ll always be Metatron, The Voice of God to me.

I fear for Tim Curry. Death is being greedy as of late.
