Scenes that come from out of nowhere: That dance in Ex Machina
The recent announcement that Oscar Isaac and Alex Garland would be working together on Annihilation, based on the work of Jeff VanderMeer, reminded us of our favorite scene in Ex Machina.
Have you read VanderMeer? Should we?

The first book of the trilogy is like…

…but with four women. A pristine coastal estuary and a lighthouse.
The second book is like an entire season of Alias(Jennifer Gardner), but with a guy and mother tandem.
Lost interest on the final book a third of the way. It feels like I might just get irritated by the ending and Miss Peregrine’s stole my attention. :D
If you like piles upon piles of mysteries with little or no ultimate answers. And like the mental gymnastics that comes in dealing with flashbacks, time-skips, clones and keeping tabs on the main characters each and every thought and “feelings”. Then it is a GO.

lol, at “Gardner”, a QWERTY layout artifact. :D
