Remembering the lovely Anton Yelchin
from Ode on Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood
by William Wordsworth
There was a time when meadow, grove, and stream,
The earth, and every common sight
To me did seem
Apparelled in celestial light,
The glory and the freshness of a dream.
It is not now as it hath been of yore;—
Turn wheresoe’er I may,
By night or day,
The things which I have seen I now can see no more.The rainbow comes and goes,
And lovely is the rose;
The moon doth with delight
Look round her when the heavens are bare;
Waters on a starry night
Are beautiful and fair;
The sunshine is a glorious birth;
But yet I know, where’er I go,
That there hath past away a glory from the earth.

I was really crushed by this. I especially enjoyed watching him not just in Star Trek but also in the Fright Night remake, of all things.
RIP, Nine-Five-Wictor-Wictor-Two.

He was so good in Green Room. I was looking forward to a long career for him–so unfortunate.

Feels like the death of a dear friend’s dear friend. Loved him in Only Lovers Left Alive. RIP.

So. UVDust. How are you bearing up in the age of Swiddleton? I was in Beijing when the news broke and it was the only thing people could message me all day.
Drogon has changed his name to Drogon Harington-Cumberbatch so the rhyme is not changed.

I’ve since gone from incredulous to crushed to angry to resigned.
Still heart him, unfortunately, thanks mainly to OLLA on repeat. Except for browsing the sherlolly tag, I’m off tumblr.
But until Thor 3 comes out or if Drogon finally forgives him, I will keep in mind like a mantra my boss’s Brit partner’s reaction to the news: “what??????????????????? tasteless twat”
