The Songlines looks like it was borrowed from the library. Can you recommend any good local public libraries where we can drop by?

We used to borrow books from the Thomas Jefferson library of the US Embassy. It used to be on Buendia near Paseo de Roxas. Gone.
We used to borrow books, records and videos from the Goethe Institut in New Manila. The Goethe Institut has moved to Salcedo Village in Makati. We don’t know if they still have a lending library.
Our friends used to go to the British Council library a lot. We don’t know if it’s still operating.
The Union Church in Legaspi Village, Makati used to have a lending library. We remember borrowing a lot of Graham Greenes in the 90s. You could check.
We’ve donated books to the Makati Public Library through a friend, but we haven’t actually set foot in the library.
Alliance Francaise on Reposo (Nicanor Garcia) in Makati and Instituto Cervantes on Kalaw St in Manila have lending libraries. You need to pay a membership fee or enroll in language classes. And the books and videos are in French and Spanish.
The Filipinas Heritage Library at the Ayala Museum and the Lopez Museum library in Ortigas are open to the public. They charge membership fees.
