Philip Seymour Hoffman: “This is that scene.”
I know this sounds silly, and I know that I might sound ridiculous. Like this is the scene in the movie where the guy is trying to get hold of the long-lost son, you know, but this is that scene. This is that scene. And I think they have those scenes in the movies because they’re true. Because they really happen. And you gotta believe me, this is really happening.

It feels strange to have such a sense of loss after the death of someone who’s not a relative… someone I don’t know personally… but that’s how I feel.
Still can’t believe he’s gone.

lastdodobird: Yeah, it gets more upsetting the more one thinks of him. Interesting how certain film stars seem to cross over from cinema to actual acquaintaince/intimate. File under “power of cinema”.

Ang lahat ng pagganap ni PSH na napanood ko ay makatotohanan: Doubt, Red Dragon, The Savages, Scent of a Woman, The Master, When a Man Loves a Woman, Boogie Nights, at Jack Goes Boating. Malimit kong sinasabi na “I’ll watch anything with him in it.” And now, I have to watch all his other movies. But looking for copies makes me feel sad and upset.
