Hi Jessica. Off topic. Have you seen Nebraska? (SM cinemas) While everyone in The Wolf of Wall Street is on quaaludes, here everyone (except June Squibb) seems to be on sleep medication– and I mean that as a compliment. Bleak, decaying rural Nebraska exquisitely captured in black and white photography. It’s the kind of film where, despite the bleakness, something quietly funny could, and does, happen at any moment. As far as road trip hijinks go, that cemetery scene and the compressor stealing caper are hilarious. Bruce Dern deserves an Oscar, as does Leo. It doesn’t look like either one is going to get it. A shame.

I saw this movie at the French Film Festival several years ago. New wave, noir and jazz, perfect combination. I hardly remember the plot now but I will never forget the music.
And Miles Davis, I have his complete collection of 72 albums on one of my hard drives. I need to transfer them to my phone. I remember Prince telling Larry King what he learned from Miles: space. I thought that was profound.
