Seriocomic, I like that. Any other seriocomics out there? Trillanes, maybe? No? Oh well. He has another label, I guess.
I have twisted v, which dates back from your pre-philstar days. That’s one book I wish I’ve never read, so that I would have the pleasure of reading it again for the first time (sorry, I read that somewhere, referring to mark twain’s, hehe). Anyway, I will not buy 6 or 10, just one. Judging by your self-proclaimed cussedness, it would not be a pleasant experience for me to have coffee with you anyway (kidding here). Besides, us Jedis are leery of people who want to rule the universe. I enjoy your work, though, even if you are a Sith.
May the Force with you.

Jediknight…. I’m sorry but who are the Sith, and what have we done to piss them off? I lost interest after the first new star wars so i don’t really get it.
Jessica, I have a proposition. You do a book signing, I give you my Say Anything DVD, and you give me a free copy of your new book. Saw Danton at Palawan last Saturday night but he seemed busy with the Pride thingy so I couldn’t really impose.

Yay! Another Twisted book. I have all your books. Can’t wait to get a copy of Twisted 8.
December 4th, 2007 at 13:55
Yes, I’ve been waiting for another one too!!
Jessica, on a more mercenary note, are you still going to raffle off the Twisted book among those who left comments about movies and crybabies a few months ago? Maybe the prize could be a hot new copy of Twisted 8? :p.
Cheers.

ANO?!!! Twisted na namaaaan!! My gaaaaassssss! Parang kailan lang, may lumabas na Tw7sted ah! (suddenly the classic Tagalog folk pop song “Alaala’ by Florante echoes in the background) Tapos may weekly Philippine Star column ka pa na lagi kong inaabang-abangan. & then this warped Jessicarulestheuniverse.com pa! AAAAAAARGHHH!!! Di ka na ba talaga papipigil sa pagiging pasaway, at talagang isasama mo kami, mga masusugid mong mambabasa, sa pagsakop mo sa buong sangkatauhan?!!!

It’s been a while since the “Twisted Travels” came out and now this “T8”. Fair enough guys. Let’s buy the book so that Jessica can have money to buy her lunch, coffee, books, ticket to the movies, etc. and she’ll have something to rant about the next day in this very site. Then we’ll read her blog. Everybody happy!

Toyomansi,
She doesn’t like to be addressed “Ate.” Para daw kasi you’ll be asking for a day off. No offense meant. She said this herself.
I can’t wait for Twisted 9.

Was it in Manila Envelope 2 that you said (or at least the one who wrote the notes on the contributors) that your next book wouldn’t be called Twisted? Hmmm… :D Been counting my friends for days now, at hindi sila umabot ng sampu (sob). Solution? Book launching! Book launching! Book launching! Para naman magka-autograph yung copies ko ng Twisted, Twisted 2, Twisted 3, Twisted 4, Twisted 5, Twisted 6, Tw7sted, Twisted Travels, Twisted Flicks, Womenagerie and other tales from the front, Manananggal Terrorizes Manila and other stories, The 500 People You Meet In Hell, Pinoy Elections: A Guide for the Dismayado.
Wait, wala pa akong copy ng Chicken Pox for the Soul at ng spoken-word album mo. :(
Again, book launching! Book launching! Book launching!

Agimat,
I know that, thank you very much.
I am asking for a day off. With a Twisted 8.
December 8th, 2007 at 15:53
8 is my favourite number so is it safe to assume that this would be the best in the series? Probably… And I agree: please do overseas deliveries! I know that your general headquarters as Supreme Potentate of the Universe is in the P.I. but what’s the point of world domination if your books wouldn’t reach foreign shores? Pinoys are everywhere, as you have always pointed out!

going home to the philippines january 4, hopefully there are still copies of twisted 8 on sale, also twisted travels and the 500 people you meet in hell and chicken pox for the soul as i’ve missed all these books.

Hi Pitirpol,
I think that the reference in Manila Envelope (how do we get another issue? Is there a third yet?) say that Jessica has 8 books called Twisted and the next will not be called Twisted. This must have been written with Twisted 8’s advent in mind and includes 8. Otherwise there were only 7 Twisteds or 9 if you count Twisted Travels and Twisted Flicks. Or maybe I just forgot how many books it mentions and goofed again on this comment…
Cheers.

my first time to post.. and also the very first time i learned there is an existing jessica zafra blog.
yey, couldn’t wait to get my hands on Twisted 8! i have a copy of twisted 7, twisted flicks, twisted travels. the rest of the books, i read them either through a friend who has a copy, through an open copy in a bookstore, or by borrowing from the UP Main Library – Filipiniana section.
but i’m slowly trying to collect them all. btw, i also couldn’t find copies of the chicken pox.

I just got my copy yesterday when I was buying gifts. I must say, this must be the thinnest edition of Twisted yet. I was pondering about it while walking home and its the first thing I opened too. Once open, I understood why. There’s no blank pages. I’ve only been through 40+ pages so far, but I haven’t encountered any blank space. Good read!
