Every few meters on the highway you see a poster offering a P5 million reward for information leading to the arrest of one Jose Ma. “Bong” Sarmiento Panlilio. According to the poster he committed robbery with homicide and is the most wanted criminal in the country. I’d assumed from the sheer number of Wanted posters that he was a terrorist or head of some criminal syndicate; I learned by googling that he’s the sort one reads about in Vanity Fair, usually in an investigative report by Dominick Dunne. Tune in to Lisa Macuja’s weekly radio show Art 2 Art: Usapang sining at kultura para sa lahat, Sundays at 3.30pm on DZRH. The handsome vocalist whose name we can’t remember looks fabulous and hasn’t aged since the mid-80s. Let’s go to Norway.

If you take Daang Hari going south towards Cavite, past the subdivisions called Versailles and Portofino (Are we in Europe yet?), you will notice to your left a structure that resembles a Victorian glass chapel.
