The Arc
Oz Open 05 from maratsafin.com, originally uploaded by saffysafina.
And Marat is in the semifinals! Still unburdened by expectations as no one expects him to win anyway. I can’t stop cackling. So this is his career plan: Appear like comet. Casually dismantle champ at US Open. Impress everyone with pure talent and volatility. Casually lose Australian Open. Come back, win Aus Open. Vanish down the rankings, wait till you’ve been written off. Sneak back into the game while everyone looking elsewhere. Make no promises whatsoever. Clever.
Asked to account for his resurgence at Wimbledon, Marat said, “Shit happens.”

Yey! But I was hoping for FLo to win ‘coz he could’ve given Fed a good lefty practice before his inevitable meeting with Nads.
I read this online (forgot the link) about the 1981 Wimbledon:
History will show that Borg could not win that sixth title. The Swede had already endured a grueling five-set semi-final against Jimmy Connors just to reach the final. Against McEnroe this time round the results were reversed, the American winning the first of his three Wimbledon titles 6-4 6-7 6-7 4-6.
Could Marat be this year’s Jimmy Connors?

The picture says it all: Marat is gay! Look at his face while he’s embracing Fed. And his hands! It was grasping Federer’s tits. But you know what’s disturbing though? The Fed’s kinda like it also. Hmmm.

Ah so if we apply the gay theory of everything, Djokovic tried to feel him up at the net but the Djoker was not his type. And years ago when Madonna included him in her top ten guys she’d like to father her children or something, he said he loved Madonna. Hmm.

Speaking of “gay”, this one made me laugh …

Is it Roger’s time to step down as No. 1? I’m not particularly fond of Nadal nor Djokovic for that matter. Go Marat!

I hope not, as I don’t care to see tennis played as if it were wrestling, either. I like the Serb’s playing style better, I just don’t like Djokovic. Always prefer elegance to brute force, and The Fed has a beautiful game.
