Hopia!
This is a question of monumental import. I hope you will address it with the seriousness it deserves.
What is the best hopiang mongo?
My friend Azon who grew up in Ongpin—her parents had a restaurant that served the famous peanut soup—vouches for the mongo hopia of Salazar Bakery. She finds Eng Bee Tin hopia a little too sweet.
Hopia is an insidious food. Never open the pack with five pieces if you are alone. One second you’re opening it, the next second only the wrapper is left, and you have no one else to accuse of gluttony.

Hi Jessica, YOu should try Poland Bakery’s Hopia Mongo. Not too sweet anf the crust doesn’t break off easily.
For moon cake, Far Eastern Mooncake, just like the ones you have in your photo is the best.

I agree that Eng Bee Tin’s is too sweet. The best, in my opinion, is Holland Hopia at Nueva street near Binondo Street (about 10 meters across the street from Shopper’s Mart).
I go to Ongpin every week for nearly 2 decades now, so I think I may know a thing or two about it. ;)
