Happy birthday Mat!
I need your advice on two things.
Should I continue being a stay-at-home mom or should I get a job instead?
My husband works from home doing online jobs. Although the pay is currently ok, the gig is not that stable compared to a salaried-job. Not to mention we have an 8-year old kid and two 1-year-old cats to raise.
Second concern is our male cat Samson. He lost some weight and has taken to licking electric fans and as such, I fear that his cuteness and the future of his tongue are both being compromised. What kind of support or food do you think he needs, being a magnificent tom yourself? (Advice from other cat enthusiasts is also most welcome).

scheherazade: Perhaps you should get an online job that allows you to continue being a stay-at-home mom while your mate gets a job outside the house. It will be good for his ego and you will get to spend time apart. Constant togetherness is annoying.
Samson licks things because he is stressed. Maybe he feels crowded because everyone is at home all the time.
Koosi used to be skinny and she had no appetite. The vet said to give her 1ml a day of any liquid children’s vitamin supplement with Zinc in it. Our human administered it with a medicine dropper. She would hold Koosi by the scruff of the neck, put the dropper in Koosi’s mouth and squeeze. Koosi put on weight.

I moved here to Manila about 8 months ago with a female friend/officemate. We live in the same unit(separate rooms) and work in the same office. I love her as a friend but she has began to nag and get on my nerves most of the time. No, there is no whif of romance between us for we are both competitiors in that arena. I am thinking of moving out and living on my own after the lease contract expires. Is this a wise plan? How can I break it to her gently? Should I begin scouting for potential living space in secret?

Let your flatmate see you looking at rental ads, and tell her you’re looking at housing options for when the lease expires. Let slip that if you find something within you budget, you might get a place of your own. She might even appreciate it. Perhaps she is cranky because you’re together all the time—at home, at work, etc. Good luck.
