Is this Mari Martinez the same Mari who co-commentated with Ronnie Nathanielsz? Nathanielsz was bad doing it but that’s understandable since he’s more of a boxing and basketball guy. But this Mari Martinez (if he’s indeed the same person) ought to be ashamed of himself. Not only did he commentate poorly, you can sense his lack of empathy with and distance from the team. And now this? Ang tigas naman ng mukha.
I agree with brewhuh23. I’m also shocked at people’s (not only politicians) audacity to lie in public. It’s an outright disrespect to the audience and to the people who know the truth.
truly appalling. from what I heard, spin lang daw yung “di pumasa sa AFF ang facilities” angle in the press. di lang daw talaga inasikaso ng PFF yung home game bid.
“That’s De Jongh, he’s Filipino-Dutch. There was a De Jongh in the Dutch team in the World Cup but they are not related. But we know that he’s Dutch because his name is De Jongh.”
Wait a minute. The rugby union test matches against Hong Kong will be held at the Rizal Stadium, which means that field is up to international standards.

Paging Money Pacquiao, Money Pangilinan, and all the moneyed guys in the filipins — gawan viglah ng stadyum ang mga azkals! Pronto!

High point of the live local TV coverage:

@sharksfin: Yes, he is the same Martinez who was with Nathanielz on the Studio23 coverage.

Lechugas na Martinez yan, sarap tirisin! A new stadium is being built at the MOA grounds. Kung sana makakahabol ang stadium, ang ganda sana.
Miss Jessica, pwede po ba makapag-request na ipila ang Azkals sa Jock with a book series? Kung pwede lang…po.
At regarding the Bulkans, saan po ba pwede makipag-agawan…I mean, makabili ng tickets for their match against Hong Kong? I wanna watch!

Football probably needs much better maintained fields than rugby does I’m guessing.

#9 jessica — Exactly what I had in mind! Why don’t the government just fix Rizal if it needs further improvement.
Yan ang classic example ng “Kung gusto, may paraan. Kung ayaw, may dahilan”. SOS! >_>
