It’s the All Blacks.
And it was always going to be the All Blacks, but Les Bleus got all French and did the last thing we wanted them to do: nearly win. Not a fun game to watch, we were too tense to shriek, and our favorites were outplayed individually but were too strong collectively. (Uhh…that’s why it’s a team sport?) That is the end of our Fremen field trip among the Sardaukar, we are officially rugbied out. Back to Books, Movies and Cats!
Best post-RWC final dinner: Andresa’s ostrich cheeseburgers and Cabernet.

yeah the all blacks won. but i was a bit ashamed of them. too many favors from the referee and they did not really live up to my expectation. the blues, though, gave a very impressive performance, surprisingly.

roseriver: Trust the French to be. . .French. Do they have to be laughed off in order to be brilliant? Dusatoir was magnificent, made McCaw look middling. Yes we are a little disillusioned but will attribute this to the fact that this is the biggest stage the All Blacks have ever been on, and there are fewer people in New Zealand than Megamall on a weekend sale. My next interaksyon.com column is about the final.
Ah, disillusionment. A bit like the unpleasant discovery that many people one supports think the singular form of “volcanoes” is “volcanoe”. Holy potatoe,
George W. Bush!Dan Quayle!
