Leather up
We’re taking a short break from our usual Moleskine journals (We’ve filled up two this year so far) to try the Ciak Duo. Or as we like to call it, the Schizo.
It’s fuchsia on one side, but flip it over.
It’s also acid green.
The elastic is in the middle. Other color combinations: red and black, lime and yellow, brown and beige, black and white.
Half of it is plain paper, the other half lined. Creamy, thick paper, high rag content, especially good for drawing.
Ciak leather-bound notebooks are handmade in Florence. They’re called “Ciak” after the sound of the elastic hitting a surface.
The medium-sized Ciak Duo retails for Php1,400 at Fully Booked outlets. For inquiries call Garden Barn at (02)8331080.

Is the paper as good as the Moleskine’s?
