The Philippine economy is doing well.
We can now lend money to other countries.
Europe is in a recession.
Unemployment rates are high.
Real estate prices are plunging.
Let’s buy Spain.

I didn’t believe that WE were lending a billion dollars to the IMF at first.

Haha! For what amount? $20 million? Wasn’t that the amount the US paid them in 1898 to get us? I’m guessing inflation after a century would make that around a billion dollars now? Not bad.
