Malaysia’s Education Ministry has issued a list of symptoms of homosexuality so parents can address them.
Symptoms of gays:
• Have a muscular body and like to show their body by wearing V-neck and sleeveless clothes;
• Prefer tight and light-coloured clothes;
• Attracted to men; and
• Like to bring big handbags, similar to those used by women, when hanging out.
Symptoms of lesbians:
• Attracted to women;
• Besides their female companions, they will distance themselves from other women;
• Like to hang out, have meals and sleep in the company of women; and
• Have no affection for men.
Test:
Muscular, check. Sleeveless, check. Tight clothes, check. Attracted to men, check (Hangs out with Avengers). Big handbag, check (Technically it’s a hammer but he carries it like a handbag). Light-coloured outfit, no.

When I first saw that Malaysian news piece yesterday (or was it the other day) making the rounds of Facebook, I thought, “I’d be laughing at how ridiculous this is if the implications weren’t actually horrifying.”

I have a friend from high school who’s very active with the LGBT community in Kuala Lumpur. Let’s just say (diplomatically) that she, a biological female, has a lot of friends who are both men and women, gay *and* straight.
Also, judging from the most recent pictures I’ve seen of her on Facebook, she also wears V-neck T-shirts and skinny jeans. No purses, though.

LOL’d. and then showed hubby the list and he ‘screamed’. =D #1 and 2 fits him. and sometimes he has a big bag because I ask him to carry mine while I browse through clothes at a shop.
