This week’s podcast: A Journalist’s Life
We talk to InterAksyon editor-in-chief Roby Alampay about journalism from the hard copy era to the digital age.
Podcast episode 8 is here. Listen, download, or subscribe via iTunes.
Ignore the intro that says “episode 4”. This was the fourth podcast we recorded (Hence reference to the forthcoming martial law anniversary) and we ended up changing the sequence.
Oops the podcast server is having issues. Everything will be restored by day’s end. If you subscribe via iTunes you should get this week’s episode on time.

2. He was asked to go to WPD and so he did even without knowing what he had to do there
3. Balat, Rubber (pang laro, ie basketball), pang rugged (pwedeng gamitin kahit saan)

On one note, listening to this podcast rekindles my desire to be a journalist; for some reason, I ended up not being one (in terms of profession). :P

I’m really really hoping to win the book, though. =)

1. Like what he was wearing on his first day at work (his version of formal): long pants, leather shoes, polo
2. He met the city editor who told him to go to the WPD. He did without any idea what to do there. He looked at the blotter and found the story of a balut vendor who was stabbed, wasn’t robbed, and survived. It ran in the paper.
[“Here I am, I’m all dressed up, a fresh grad of UP. I thought I would change the world.” I laughed on that one.]
3. balat, rubber shoes (panlaro), pang-rugged
