What is your New Year’s Resolution?

1. Finish second novel. (First one done, will never be published.)
2. Read Swann’s Way.
Tell. If you make them public, the possibility of embarrassment might make you stick to your resolutions.

Study, study, study. Work, work, work. I’ll try to learn a new language and try my luck at MENSA. Speaking of, are you a member of MENSA Philippines Jessica? If not, don’t you have any plans of joining?

Mine: More books, less internet. That means Knausgaard’s My Struggle: Second and Third Books and many more.
Glad to hear you’re writing a novel this year.

I really need help on this.
1) Not to buy a new book until I’ve finished The Luminaries and 4 others. (The problem with the 4 is that I’m very much interested in all of them equally. Caught between wanting to speed-read and making each book last at least a month. And it’s challenge enough not to enter a bookstore when I see one.)
2) Not to buy another journal until I’ve used up at least 10 pages of each of the 5 journals I’d splurged on last year. (I’d designated specific writing projects for each partly not to feel too much like a hopeless paper junkie.)
3) Complete my OC-ly designed Spotify playlists.

1. Write more (Planning to revive my tech blog. Mostly because I can’t stand the writing on almost all of the Pinoy tech blogs)
2. Publish an App
3. Master a couple of new languages. Programming languages that is.
4. Hit the gym at least 3x a week (destined to fail)
5. Re-assess my career path. (I think I’ve become too boho for my own good)
