Is that the Phantom of the Opera in the Penny Dreadful trailer?
Ooh, more Victorian monsters.
Is Billie Piper’s Irish accent still alive? The Bride of Frankenstein doesn’t talk, does she?

Yes, I think that’s the Phantom.
Meanwhile, Helen McCrory creeps the heck out of me. I know she’s Madam Kali, but perhaps she’s also Elizabeth Bathory? Well, I don’t think Bathory is Victorian, but then, maybe they’ve incorporated her. (Helen McCrory trivia: she was in Interview with the Vampire as one of the whores that Lestat toyed with before killing in New Orleans)
I am still most interested in Sembene’s story. I hope they give him one, unless he’s just the Token Black Guy. The Africa connection may indicate a zombie story, but since that’s a bit too predictable, I hope they surprise us.

And is that… *The* Countess? Báthory Erzsébet!

But wait, is she Victorian?
