Dotty
The invitation said, “Wear dots.” The Swatch Interactive Billboard at Greenbelt 5 was done up in dots.
The food followed the dot theme.
Of course the Swatch has dots.
My scarf has dots. I volunteered to be a walking ad for Zombadings 1: Patayin Sa Shokot Si Remington. The movie finally opens in theatres on August 31! Do you know how hard it is to get a confirmed playdate for a low-budget independently-produced Filipino movie in the Philippines? You need to sweat blood.
So Zombadings, a comedy starring Martin Escudero, Lauren Young and Eugene Domingo finally gets a playdate, and immediately Star Cinema announces that theircomedy starring Eugene Domingo (not Babae Sa Septic Tank, which they distribute, which is already showing) opens on the same day. We’re sure that Star Cinema had always intended for their movie to open on that day, because why would the biggest movie producer in the country bother to crush a little indie flick? Really, what would they stand to gain from squishing a low-budget movie? They’re already the industry leader, there is no benefit to them. Zombadings. August 31. Mark it.
