We have a proprietary interest in Jeremy Renner. We first noticed him in 28 Weeks Later, then in The Assassination of Jesse James, and then we got him confused with the French actor Jérémie Renier and were extremely pleased when he almost literally exploded in The Hurt Locker (What is Kathryn Bigelow doing, we want a movie).
Then he made us jealous by being very very close to Colin Farrell, and he stole The Town from Ben Affleck (Naku Ben wag kang tatabi diyan). Now he’s a paragon of sanity in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Naku Tom wag kang tatabi diyan). Soon we’ll be seeing him as Hawkeye in The Avengers (We’re not worried about Robert Downey Jr), and if our information is correct we might even see him in the Philippines—once we learn which one of 7,107 islands The Bourne Legacy will shoot in.
Now stalking following reporting on Jeremy Renner is a time-consuming, energy-expending occupation; fortunately we can count on the information-sniffing powers of our volunteers Brewhuh and Stellalehua (By the way, you’ve been volunteered). Just wanted to put this out there, in case it’s not all Renner all the time: There’s also a good chance that Edward Norton might show up, as well! Looks like he confirmed his casting on Twitter (@EdwardNorton, if you’re interested) because he’s giving away tickets to join him at the Bourne premiere in August. So, hayan, one more (almost-)Avenger to stalk!
And Rachel Weisz is in the movie too. Though we’d all be darned if Daniel Craig even shows up to visit his wife.
Now, if only those reports (in the papers) about the movie shooting primarily in the NCR would come true…

Ay naku. Love ko pa rin si Ed pero pinagsawaan din siya ni Courtney Love. Siguro pag kumpleto na ang pagpapabakuna niya… *cue “Safe from Harm” by Massive Attack*
Anyway. January. Word on the street is that the movie will be shot mainly in the National Capital Region. No news yet of any provincial locations, though I’ve read in the papers that a lot of Pinoy extras were hired for the NYC shoot. In any case, I’m ready to go on full spy mode just in case said target shows up earlier than expected.
