a little-known movie called ‘a bear named winnie’ starred michael fassbender. it’s the story of a bear called ‘winnipeg’, nicknamed ‘winnie’. m. fassbender’s character, a soldier, found the bear and made it the troops mascot, brought it to england with him and left it in a zoo. the author of ‘winnie the pooh’ saw this bear with his son named christopher robin, and the rest is history.
