The Game of Thrones Diet

“I just saw the second episode of season 2,” Dinna announced, “and I am traumatized.” I had not seen the episode—I prefer to wait until the season is over, and then watch all the episodes in a day or three. (My personal record: 4 seasons of The Wire in 1 week, 3 seasons of Breaking Bad in less.) However, I’ve read the reviews.
“You mean that people who were not supposed to be having sex in the books are having sex in the TV show,” I said. “Yes!” Dinna cried, revealing herself to be a GRRM fundamentalist. I take a more liberal view: literature and cinema are different forms and a certain amount of revision is necessary in adapting one for the other.

Sige! Sampalin ang batang yan!
On the romantic thingy between Gendry and Arya, the books actually hint on it. Gendry may have the hots for Arya and there are parts in the books wherein he gave Arya strange looks and held her body against his(especially when he is shirtless. Eeeeiiii!) on several occassions.I thought that Arya was too young for him but he did throw some jealous fits and sulked whenever Arya ignored him.

I blame Joffrey for the whole thing, not Cat. Tyrion had a revelation about the whole thing, and suddenly Cat started sounding less stupid – the woman just wants to go home to her kids. And she becomes this interesting character later in the books.
Also, I think the sex between certain characters in episode 2 was implied in the books. It will make sense later, and one character was even offered the same favor later in the books (he declined, and he has the ability to… stay alive).
My mom on Joffrey: “salbahe ‘yang batang yan, inbred kasi.”
And Gendry and Arya has always been a thing for me.

Nagsimula ang lahat simula nang lasunin ni Lady Lysa Tully ang Hand of the King (na kanya ring asawa) na si Jon Arryn. Then, the rest is the plot. Spoiler.
