Entry #19. Mount Thumbpeak by Kristine Tinio. “A view of mountain ranges at the summit of Mt. Thumbpeak (1,296 meters above sea level) in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Climbing this mountain requires around nine hours of trekking and ten river crossings. The trailhead is located at the Iwahig Penal Colony. Taken on June 12, 2012 with a Canon PowerShot A3200.”

Entry #21. White Orchid by Kristine Tinio. “This is a new species of terrestrial orchid which was discovered in Mt. Mantalingajan, the highest peak in Palawan. Climbing this mountain takes 4 to 5 days and is considered one of the most difficult trekking expeditions in the Philippines. Taken in February 2013 at Mt. Mantalingajan with a Canon PowerShot A3200.”
Entry #22. By Abraham Toribio II. “I took this photo of Kalibo when I visited the province in 2010 en route to Boracay. The rice field and mountains make for a spectacular view.” Taken with a Canon PowerShot G10.
Entry #23. Pitcher Plant by Kristine Tinio. “A pitcher plant in the forest of Mt. Mantalingajan in Palawan. These carnivorous plants are abundant at the higher elevations. One species, the Nepenthes mantalingajanensis, can only be found in the summit region of the mountain. Taken in February 2013 with a Canon PowerShot A3200.”

Entry #25. Orange Bulbs by Kristine Tinio. “These bulb-like organisms are about an inch in length and sprout directly from the ground with no distinct stems or leaves. They grow on the dense forest trails of Mt. Mantalingajan in Palawan. Taken in February 2013 with a Canon PowerShot A3200.”
Entry #26. By Abraham Toribio II. “Sunset on our last day in Boracay when I visited for the first time in 2010. Since then, I’ve gone there every year. It’s a good place to relax while enjoying the amenities of a city. Boracay is the best beach in the world. Taken with a Canon PowerShot G10.”
