Today in meltdowns
At the Joint Session of Congress, 20 May 2010
Text dialogue
Me: Ay! Bad Russell Crowe impression all over TV. Your heart. (Bypass in January)
Locsin: Gad I have finally made a total ass of myself.
Me: Big acting moment!
Locsin: Where is my armor!
Me: Too hot to wear metal, it’s 37 degrees.
Locsin: Like wearing a frying pan. Sir Guisado.
Me: Or an orinola on your head.

Is it wrong to admit that I now I have a crush on Rep. Locsin?

Nako, there’s a long queue for people who want to be my stepmother. The line is over there.

Can you beat that? Basta sa entertainment, nothing comes close to the live airing of Congressional hearings. Walang binatbat ang wowowee o kaya ang mga shows ng nasirang si Inday. Kaya lang bakit kailangan stricken off the record ang mga s.o.b.’s ni Rep. Teddyboy?

automated voting should not have been implemented while arroyo and her people are still running the elections. 2013 is when it should have been implemented, when we have more trustworthy people inside comelec and the government. now we see teddy boy frothing at the mouth.
the advocates for e-voting were lucky that noynoy won by a landslide. the VP race is still undecided even though the election’s last week pa.

I wonder if Teddy Boy would have been as livid if his wife didn’t lose.

This is going to haunt Teddy in the long run. I admire him but I have to side with the Smartmatic. Time stamp is irrelevant in IT security measures. Internal clock of PCOS machines might be unsynchronized with the server but regardless, it’s the unique digital signature that will be verified by the server anyway. It’s like when we log in at our mail inbox such as Yahoo mail. Our computer clock is certainly not the same as the server clock of Yahoo but it’s not part of the standard security verification. But yes, Smartmatic should have checked also the internal clock of each PCOS but it’s not the priority in their security. (Try buying a new computer. There is a chance the internal clock’s time would start at manufacturing date or something.)

I think the obsession with the time stamp is connected to their suspicion that ballots were force-fed into the PCOS machines long after the polls had closed. So it all boils down to distrust of the people operating the machines.
