The return of the golddigger
“Once a joke or a cautionary tale, today gold-digging is being offered as a viable career choice for women, viewed with a new regard, even glamour. High-end cosmetics line Laura Mercier has launched The Gold Digger Collection this summer so we can all look like one. Walk down the local high street and you’re likely to see a young woman in a T-shirt proclaiming “Golddigga”, or, for those who prefer a more formal approach, “Hello, My Name is Gold Digger”. You can purchase T-shirts online that say “Sugar Daddy”, “I Love My Sugar Daddy”, “Wanted: Sugar Daddy. Please Submit Bank Details Upon Application”. This is supposed to be ironic, but would these same women wear a T-shirt emblazoned with “Prostitute”?”

Hey, this reminds of a blog a few months back. You know, this woman who said she was looking for a rich husband. She did in a business-like way, and a rich guy replied in the same manner. That reply is a classic.
I forget where I read it.
And now I would probably spend the rest of the day trying to remember where.

What do you mean ‘return’? Where’d they go? I was under the impression that they never left. And you know what? Men, especially the rich ones, KNOW when women marry them for their money. We men is smart.
“I literally had to sit there and tell him that he had to tell his wife that she had to stop spending,” she said. “He was actually scared she would leave him because their financial situation changed so drastically.”

That word would contain too many syllables for their literal minds to process. “Whore” would be more appropriate. Plus, imagine how much silkscreen ink you’d save using that single syllable instead?

I remember somebody parodied the “Virgin” logo, replacing the word with “Skank”. Forgot where I’ve seen it though.

jediknight, I think you’re referring to the “Spectacular Woman Seeks Rich Husband” ad on Craigslist, and the “It’s a Crappy Deal” response from an investment banker.
There’s also the “I am RICH and I want to spend it on YOU tonight” posting by ‘Rich Bigdollars’:
